Finzati primarily uses information published by companies in their quarterly and annual reports filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission via SEC.gov. Additionally, a significant portion of the financial, market, and corporate data used on the platform comes from recognized third-party providers.
SEC filings and company reports
Finzati uses public SEC EDGAR filings, including quarterly and annual company reports, as a primary source for financial information and company updates. These filings help us identify recently reported company activity and determine which companies should be refreshed in our internal database.
SEC filings are official company submissions, but the availability, structure, timing, and level of detail may vary depending on the company, filing type, reporting period, and original disclosure.
Market data and external providers
Finzati may also use recognized external data providers, including Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), to complement SEC-based information with company profiles, market prices, ratios, key metrics, analyst-related data, news, historical market data, and other financial datasets.
External providers may update, normalize, adjust, or restate their datasets over time. Because of this, some values may differ from official filings or from other financial platforms depending on timing, methodology, price source, currency treatment, or data coverage.
Finzati analysis, scores and calculations
In addition to displaying financial and market data from public filings and recognized sources, Finzati develops its own analysis models to evaluate companies from different perspectives, including business quality, growth, financial strength, valuation, and other relevant factors. These scores, rankings, and indicators are generated through internal methodologies, financial analysis, and market comparison studies.
Data interpretation and updates
Financial and market data can be updated, adjusted, or restated over time as companies publish new reports, file amendments, or as data providers refresh their datasets. For this reason, users may occasionally notice differences between Finzati and other financial platforms. These differences are common in financial data platforms and do not necessarily indicate an error.
